24.2.2012 (UNI) Jharkhand High Court today disposed of BJP leader Ramjee Lal Sharda's petition doubting recounting result of Hatia seat of the state Assembly.

A single bench of Justice R K Merathia passed the order.

The court observed that since the result of 2009 and recounting of 2011 was the same, therefore the petition was being disposed of.

Recounting for the Hatia Assembly took place on December 19 on the directive of the High Court.

The recounting was ordered on a petition of BJP candidate Ramjee Lal Sharda, who was defeated by Congress nominee Gopal Sharan Nath Sahdeo by a margin of 25 votes.

However, Sahdeo died last year and the seat had fallen vacant. UNI
