23.2.2012 (UNI) A Calcutta High Court two-judge bench today admitted a public interest litigation seeking an order to declare February 28 industrial strike as illegal.

The petitioner A R Ghosal also prayed before the court to ask the authorities for stepping up the security to avert any kind of trouble on the day of the strike if it is observed.

Ghoshal, a lawyer, also mentioned earlier orders of the high court and the apex court declaring the strike illegal.

The matter is likley to come up for hearing before the bench comprising Chief Justice J N Patel and S Chakraborty tomorrow. UNI
